** Xanadu Rising- Rules of Conduct**
Welcome to the Realm of Xanadu-Rising. We are glad you chose us to call home. Below
you will find our Rules of Conduct. They will be familiar to most players. Mostly they are made up of common courtesy
and common sense. Unfortunately there are always a few who think they already know the Rules, or who are new to our on-line
gaming worlds. Please read them. For those who dislike them, or don't agree with them, all we have to say to you is... Find
another world to play in. There are many other shards out there. Feel free to try them out. This is a family based shard and
we wish to keep it that way. Enjoy our Realm as it was meant to be, free, family based and fun for all.
1. Show courtesy to all. It costs you nothing and can gain you much.
2. DO NOT ASK TO BE STAFF!! If you ask to be staff Know that you will be the LAST
to ever be offered a position here. Ask more than once and get ready to say good-bye to us!!
3. Staff has the final say in any and all disputes. Period.
4. IF YOU FIND AN EXPLOIT AND DO NOT REPORT IT, you become a party to it’s use. At that point
you and the user of the exploit WILL BE BANNED!! PERIOD!!!!!
5. You get a Blessed Trashcan for Token's bag(BTT bag) in the Welcome Room. If you don't need
it and can't sell it, please Trash it. Trashing it with your BTT bag will give you Tokens you can use to buy very cool and
unusual things that can't be bought with gold. So it pays to use the BTT bag. Emptying corpses will also help the re-spawn
and help the world's item count . A high world item count lends it self to Lagg, and lagg hurts us all, from players to the
server. (See the In-Game Players Command area of the Forums for more information.)
6. When talking in <Public> chat do NOT cuss, get nasty, be aggressive, abusive or use any other rude mode of speaking.
This is a family shard and many of our players are children so, if you have a problem, take it to a private setting and or
page for staff help.
7. Staff is NOT here to give you things or replace lost items or baby-sit. They are here to
help you if you find a game problem, to run events, and judge shard contests . Remember they are all volunteers with lives
outside of the Xanadu-Rising world. Sometimes the Real World interferes and it can't be
helped if there is no Staff available when you feel there should be.
8. Don't gate jump. If a moongate opens or is opened by another player, DO NOT GO THROUGH IT UNLESS
YOUR INVITED!! This is just simple common courtesy.
9. This is NOT a PvP shard. Though some PvP is consented to, it is usually done in the
context of an event or Staff sanctioned action. We do NOT allow Player vs. Player combat,
except as a Guild training exercise and within Guild Halls. Anyone found to be PvPing outside of these areas is subject to
banning with NO questions asked. PERIOD!!!!!
10. This is NOT a PK shard. You feel the game gives you the right to kill players and
is no fun unless you can? We don’t want you and don’t need you. Gamer’s Divinity is
a good Pkers shard. Go there. Have fun.
11. This is NOT a shard for Thieves. If you want or must be a thief, do it with the NPCs
and leave other players alone. If you are found to be thieving from players without their consent or try to steal from staff,
you WILL BE BANNED!! PERIOD!!!!!
12. DO NOT leave your pets/dragons/mercenary's in towns or at dungeons. Stable them,
shrink them or set them free in the wild. If you own them, they are YOUR responsibility. If Staff finds them, it's
the Staff's choice as to what happens to them. If you don't want to loose them permanently, take care of them.
13. "Camping" at a spawn area or in a dungeon is not allowed! Your fellow players have a right to those spawn areas too.
Be courteous to them. If you are caught or reported to be "camping" or "jumping" a spawn or dungeon and you don't cease to
do it right away, Staff has the right to make you stop.... however they see fit. You have been warned!! (see
Game Terminology for more information)
Note: These rules are subject to change at any time, and without warning. Please check this site
for updates on rule changes. Thank you.
